After reading critics reviews I was apprehensive to watch Eternals however, I really enjoyed it! Eternals takes marvel in an exciting and bold new direction. It is mature and inclusive while remaining true to the marvel structure and is a full cinematic visionary experience (courtesy of Eternals oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao). The filmography was done very well, balancing breath-taking CGI settings with powerful main-character close-ups. By far my favourite part of this film was the connection to human history. I loved the way each dynasty/ empire connect with the storyline and built up the story. The characters were mostly justified and balanced, but at times some characters felt unneeded. Sometimes the story also felt lacking in emotion/ time for characters to fully process information. The main flaw with this movie was its timing, sometimes it spent too much time explaining backstories and displayed to heavy an emphasis on storylines that weren't further explored/ relevant. Apart from this, I thought this film was a throughouly enjoyable experience. I love this new direction the MCU is taking and can't wait for more films! I would rate this film a solid 7.5/10.
