Redbad, Rise of the Vikings is really enjoyable if sometimes a little difficult to watch. We hadn't realised how long it was but we didn't feel any scene was wasted. Multi-layered -- romance, action, history, tragedy. The cast were terrific, very believable and the action scenes thrilling. A wonderful period epic that stirs the emotions: anger at injustice, poignancy, euphoria.
