Bad, bad, bad. Terrible show. Inane plot, predictable script, wooden acting etc etc. But mostly offensive is Rene Z who looks ridiculous in her emaciated new form, all bones sticking out, pouting lips, meaningful looks, mellifluous voice - a caricature of a rich powerful man eater B**** (her character is so predictable it beggars belief), she’s anything but sexy. She over eggs the pudding..and I found watching her actually painful, a reminder of how sad it is that still in this day and age, ageing Hollywood actresses still feel the need to starve themselves to near death in order to land a job.. I’m disappointed at RZ for having succumbed to this way of thinking, her brilliant sexy Bridget Jones rendition demonstrated that she had more guts (she had to put on weight) and was prepared to think outside this meagre box. Or maybe she accepted to play this role so she could show the world that she too could be thin? Whatever... it was a bad choice and it will have her fans run for the hills and the fans’ base depleted.

Terrible show. It starts with an interesting sci-fi idea but soon descends into a chaotic and bloodthirsty romp with no plot nor acceptable script. The characters are grotesque caricatures of such morally reprehensible individuals that makes them not very real nor believable - is this what middle America is like? As a European I find their behaviour unlikely and unpalatable. Every human flaw in the history of humanity is well represented and amplified by a zillion: the overprotective controlling mother that would put the psychopathic mother in Carrie to shame... the virgin girl, so annoyingly girlie and naive that a 5 year old of today would be smarter... the gay friend, with the horrible homophobic father, who turns out to be a psychopath after all...the bad corrupt cop that doesn’t think twice before beating up a priest...(what enforcement of law and order would ever do that?) and then falls like a demented idiot for the the insane ruse of an old hippie woman and kills his own son...... the old hippie woman that is so blatantly insane and possessed by evil that one wonders how it is possible no one can see through her...the priest that, following today’s predictable liberal dictact, has clearly been preaching the “wrong” and vilified religion of today, Christianity, so he must definitely die and not just that but be taken away by Death’s warriors on horses, to prove what exactly.. that there is no Christian God? One wonders if the producers were insane Christian hating muslims/ insane Christian hating Jews at this point or simply on drugs .....the soldiers who are soldiers and then not soldiers and kill other soldiers who are soldiers but not soldiers...nothing makes sense and the loose ends go on and on...until the end when everybody must die...pop,pop,pop... for good measure, the church must burn down, why not, with everyone in it...pop, pop, pop, .and what the heck, be my guest, the shopping mall must blow up too, just in case...pop, pop, pop,... except the 5 main actors, I mean characters. Of course they don’t die, they must have been so desperate for work that were hoping to be signed on for a season 2, now luckily cancelled. We too have been spared. Happy ending all around.

A show to watch if there is nothing else to do. It is not well plotted or scripted: too many loose ends. The survivors have been sealed off in a quarantine zone that “protects” the rest of the world from them with a huge wall (btw what is it with this obsession about walls these days? are the producers hinting at other walls?) which, as it has been pointed out before, is a demented idea as the virulent infectious killer rain would still do its nasty bit... ehm, that is pour down on the other side of the wall? The time scale also couldn’t be more idiotic as it is set after 6 years from the first rain that killed everyone caught in it. This opens up a huge can of cinematic worms... a self inflicted wound that could have been avoided if they’d stuck to the more believable immediate aftermath. As other people have pointed out for example: if water (rain) kills to the extent that even a small puddle/drop can infect you, what have all the surviving humans (not the privileged ones in bunkers who would have gone mad by now btw) have been drinking for six years? Wouldn’t the water reservoirs be lethally infected too by now? Supermarket food would also have run out after six years.... so I doubt there would be any humans left out there.. Clothes would be hideously tattered after 6years... the characters too would look more bedraggled than they do, after 6 years. Most cars have been abandoned on the roads with presumably some fuel in it, why are the main characters still insisting to walk the full distance to Sweeden? The bunkers still have electricity so charging a car battery shouldn’t be a problem. Everyone seems to be shooting each other all the time... where on earth do they get all that ammunition? Wouldn’t that have run out too after 6 years? Why is Simone, the main character, always smashing the only precious tablets that could help her and the others communicate with the outside world? Is she insane? Etc, etc,
