Boring. Apparently when Kevin Hart is playing dramatic, he feels he has to speak in a monotone whisper. It was flat all the way through. I’m disappointed bc I normally love anything he’s in. Oh well, it was a swing and a miss. Not the end of the world.

Was Tom Hanks channeling Donald Sutherland in this movie? The soft-spoken, talk through your teeth dialogue made me think so. Hanks’ Finch was surprisingly impatient with his newborn robot, the robot itself was awkward to watch much of the time, and the dog was grumpy. The three of them just drive West and magically all is well. No real climax, no surprises.. it just drifted into the sunset. Meh. I didn’t hate it but I it definitely left something to be desired (like a point).
