For those of you who are aspiring movie critics, this movie isn't for you. If you think every movie you have to watch has to be a masterpiece with award winning cinematography, plot and dialogue, then I'll let you know now, don't watch this movie. As someone who got off work, pulled up netflix, and watched this movie while my cat tried to fistfight my feet, this movie is for ME. It was great. (SPOILERS but cmon if ur looking at reviews what do u expect to see here). It had great killing scenes which made me squeemish and excited- like looking at a crushed wriggling bug, gross but sooooo entertaining. The main lead, Kate herself, was badass and kind, and of course, getting to see Woody Harrelson as a father figure is always a tear jerker for me. Ultimately, the gore, which there is a lot of, the pop music fight scenes, that one shot of Jojima's back, and the general "here is some cool guns I found now I'm going to shoot these cool guns" theme made this movie enjoyable and badass.
