Can a sequel be better than the original? Yes. Yes, it can. I don't watch scary movies. But when A Quiet Place (the first) came out, my Deaf friends convinced me to watch it on mute, while laughing about how scary films are only scary for hearing people. For those who can't handle suspense, that really does work. That said, and maybe because of watching without sound and relying on ASL and subtitles, I kind of found parts of the first movie cheesy. BUT! Woah! A Quiet Place Part II, which I watched with sound on except for the most intense parts, blew me out of the water! A little foreshadowing there. :) VERY WELL DONE!
