I'm autistic myself and I do like the movie and i know that sia was only trying to have good intentions. But i do agree with some people that using Maddie Ziegler instead of someome with ASD/austism does let out some red flags. But its not really my place to say any hate against the actors and actresses of this film. I just don't think that the stims are fully accurate though...the change of routine and stress i can relate but the rest i can not wrap my head around. Yes i get some people with autism have different stims but the fact that Maddie does these when she is not on the spectrum can be a little offensive. But then again im sure they weren't trying to cause bad intentions. Im just saying my opinion.
