I’ll start with the good things the game does: - The scenery can be pretty (when viewed at a distance) - Some of the music you can find via vinyl records during exploring is pretty good. Now for the bad: - Weapons feel clunky, unresponsive and slow to manage/fire. Accuracy is a huge issue. Testing in the shooting range, it seems you can be perfectly lined up with a target and it still will somehow miss. I didn’t even know you could ADS until hitting the button by mistake. Trying to use melee is laughable. - Graphically the game is a huge step backwards for a PS4 title. Character models are hideous as well as the cosmetic items you can buy/equip. Animations are awkward and rigid. - Matchmaking seems to always have network errors or problems that cause lag/stuttering and general frustrations while trying to play. - Matchmaking player levels before you reach level 15 seems to work but the second you reach level 15 you are suddenly put into lobbies where the majority of players are all level 50+. You will end up being destroyed by high level players with their high level gear while you try and just survive with your “baby gear” - Glitches and bugs are prevalent here. Be it constantly getting stuck in terrain, not being able to vault a knee high fence, getting stuck while running uphill to name a few. - Crashing is also prevalent here as well. Seems to happen at least every 20-30 minutes. - Other players footsteps are excessively loud. You can hear as well as be heard from quite a distance. Making stealthy gameplay quite frustrating unless you sit in a bush and wait. - Some undiscovered locations on the map won’t register as discovered. Even if you’re standing in the middle of the location. - The base building is set up as standard free to play games, where you have to wait excessive amounts of time for something to upgrade. Certain parts of the base even at level 2 takes a day or more to upgrade. To be fair the game is a free to play title but it is clear the least amount of effort went into this title. Especially with other free to play games out there doing so much better things. Don’t expect to get much out of this game.
