I actually have a big problem with this movie. Elliot Paige was great which is why this is 2 stars instead of 1. But the way Gerti, Paula, and Ricky were portrayed is insulting to me. Paula was not remorseful and we know she played a big part in the abuse. She didn't tell on her and then feel bad and try to help her like in the movie. Ricky was not hesitant about abusing Sylvia. He did everything Gerti told him to do. And Gerti was just a monster. Stop trying to humanize monsters. I hate how the movie tries to make us feel sympathetic towards them.
