My FAVOURITE book of all time. If you are looking for a slightly depressing but realistic story based on the paradox of life, in which the author describes the main character's insightful thoughts, touching on the themes such as the meaning of life, realistic human interaction, and the suicide-this book is for you. Through the main characters’ thoughts, the author conveys his personal perception of the world, and it’s people. In part figment, Plath portrays the challenging reality that many young women face during their college years, which symbolically are supposed to be the most memorable years in our life. Relationships that the main character builds, as well as his personal development, are explored through the famous distinctive, dispirited but at the same time captivating perspective of Sylvia Plath. For some, this novel might appear depressing, but personally, as a 21st-century teenager, The Bell Jar opened a completely different vision of life, transforming my personal perception of the future. The use of language, the creative structure, and the sincerely profound meaning conveyed behind each thought is truly outstanding.
