I have watched the first seven episodes and it is tremendous. I love the slow, tension-filled build up. The idea of following ordinary people and watching their reactions and actions is mesmerizing. This is truly a great concept. Instead of following what the political and military leaders and scientists do this makes it more real. I was not expecting much after watching the disaster Apple TV did with Foundation so this I great. I’m glad they renewed it for a second season. Great job!

Terrible. I read The Foundation Trilogy in the 60s and it hooked me on SF. And I just began re-reading it to get ready for the series. What I saw on the first two episodes was boring and tedious. It has almost nothing to do with the original series other than the general plot of the fall of the Galactic Empire. But it misses the entire point by making the plot about individuals and not about the inevitability of historical forces. By doing this, it becomes just another action adventure story and a boring one. My guess is that if it stays the same, the series will not last very long. Those who haven’t read the series will find it as boring and tedious as I did and those who have read the books will feel betrayed.
