You would never have guessed that this was a first novel the way that James Victor Jordan skillfully introduces and weaves characters through a plot that takes just as many turns as the number of characters. It starts with the horrible crime of rape and then launches on a journey for truth and justice that weaves through racism, power hungry corporations and the mystic culture of the Seminole people in the Florida swamps. This is not a book for those like like simple stories. It is a highly intelligent book that makes you quickly realize that you need to know more about astrophysics, injustice across the country and who is really pulling the strings. I highly recommend it!
