I was skeptical about playing the remake at first due to a lot of negative comments about it, however decided to play it as it has been years since the latest installment in the series, this remake is pretty good, from the story being rewritten to more jump scares being added. There are some elements in the remake that has been changed like places you visit throughout the game but the gameplay and the story is still pretty accurate to the original game, apart from some things that has been changed and is expected in a remake, as you might have noticed in previous trailers of this game before it was released. There is no Born From A Wish DLC included in this like the original game, but that might be available in the near future, however the story was mind blowing and was pretty much spot on like the original game, it is still unique in it's own way. Whilst this is a plain jane review, I think Bloober might have iced the cake with this one and hopefully we could see Silent Hill 1 and 3 redone in the future if this becomes one of the best selling games this year. I do highly recommend playing this for yourself and the original game if you can.

I know this game came out a few years ago, I was hyped since and only now I have managed to play on my mates Xbox One just 4 days ago since I always loved the looks online since it came out, so me and my mate bought it but sadly it was too good to be true, many people will say the remake is good but my experience is totally different. My mate has this game on the Xbox One and to be far it is absolute trash, camera work is just so hard to control, you'll end up making way so many mistakes, especially with the speedway missions, these have a very tight time limit, fair enough but they are made so hard where you will end up making mistakes during the level, plus you will end up going into the wall most of the time, since you won't be able to glide him properly due to the flawed controls and camera work. The game also has missing gems you need to collect, so you could be looking for ages just to find absolute nothing, so then you can't 100% the level. The developers made this game so hard to the point where you will build up tension, and you will end up rage quitting halfway through due to the camera work being so hard to control, infact it's zoomed right up, so it's made impossible to dodge attacks and so on, bearing in mind this is meant to be a kids game! Kids game my arse, this POS of a so called kids game will just frustrate and upset a lot of kids when you keep failing due to the shady camera work and controls, and because of this you will end up dying when you will fight bosses and so on. The game is made 10x harder then the original, especially due to the camera work alone, then you have missing gems so you can't beat the levels, then when you end up flying or running you will end up going straight into the wall, especially if you run about so yes, for a game that's supposed to made for kids and relaxing, I have to say this is just an embarrassment to the original series since it builds up a load of tension, pretty sad when we bought the game, we thought it was going to be great to play and enjoy but no, it was too good to be true. They should have never released the game, it's unfinished, even has a few glitches here and there, I just couldn't get on with it, I thought I was messing the jump and the running up, but instead it was the game since it's flawed. After seeing this we were going to buy the Crash series but seeing this trash for what it is, no chance. If you a Spyro fan you will be far better off buying the originals and playing it on the ps1/ps2 then buying this load of junk. So much for being a game made for kids, I rather if they never remade this to be honest, the controls and the camera work is too difficult to control. After this I won't be recommending another Toys For Bob game again, my mate didn't like the game either, the graphics are not even the greatest like people think they are but they are the only thing thats good about the game, music is just sad, reconstructed music of the first 3, although you have the option for the original, sadly no nostalgia for me, just a load of frustration, instantly turned the game off after 4 days, currently stuck trying to beat gulp, can't beat the boss what so ever, I don't think you can without dying over and over anyway so best if Toys For Bob kept doing Call Of Duty since they are Activision after all. Hope another company will do Spyro and hopefully remake the 3 games again but next time, take their time instead of rushing like this complete embarrassment.
