There are some very interesting and compelling characters, backed up by some fantastic animation and a quality sound track. however the show is bogged down by its lead characters why are flat, boring and unlikable. All the depth of the show is actually very surface level, just dressed up with pretentious none-sense that is either very generic or completely meaningless. Characters rarely explain their motivations and when they do it is often boiled down to blind loyalty in someone why is handsome/pretty. The show seems to think it’s clever by pulling new twists out of thin air but it just makes the show feel disconnected and pretentious. I feel like 80% of the conflicts could be resolved if lead characters actually explained their reasons for what they are do as opposed to asking for blind loyalty and getting upset when others refuse. It’s a real shame to be leaving such a negative review giving how compelling some of the characters really are.
