Thappad is one movie which will leave a lasting impression on you and makes you come back to it again. Its a movie which talks about how most Indian women after they get married. Along with being sold out to another family, you also sell your freedom and voice of opinion. Though it focuses majorly on Amrita, it also draws a side parallel of Netra, the maid and Swati. It highlights how men are allowed to do anything to a woman just because she is his wife right from slapping her to forceful sex. But at the same time it brings the purity of a father - daughter relationship. As the story flows, it shows the character development of Amrita who from a dependent woman meta-morphs into an independent woman who is able to do anything - right from cooking paratha to driving. At the same time it brings out the value of a "sorry" and "I love you" A lot of people criticized it and its actually an under rated movie, but its worth the watch . The movie brings out the message of not only woman empowerment but social empowerment and how we must teach our sons to treat all women in their life as their equal.

I would honestly prefer only the first season and i felt the directors should've left it there instead of dragging it and losing the essence! First Season indeed brings out a lot of message. Hannah committing suicide was a well written and well shown scene. It highlights aspects of depression, the ups and lows of it, the feeling of loneliness, loss of a loved on and moving on from a tragic incident They have portrayed the exact emotions a depressed teen goes through but the only side effect is it may have a dark feeling on you. Its a little bit dark and wouldnt recommend it to early and pre teens Better suitable for mid teens and above who can handle it!

Heard a lot about this show and decided to give it a try! For anyone watching it, I would recommend only the first season The first season keeps you engaged with the suspense and it lives upto the name of mystery. It shows a lot of character development, gives insight into life of different strata of the societies and confused teen romance. Definitely worth the binge watch But after that oh boy it went down the line, it just got horrible with every season. It became the usual Dad as the accused plot line, filled with the usual Hiram - Veronica drama, a lot of cheating and getting back together and dirty business something which teens dont go through, the show just became so unrealistic. The only good part about it was the LGBTQ representation ,women taking up business but the rest of it is a BIG NO! The plot line became a lot of dragged on just to please the fans and it went away from mystery to boring! Only the first season is good and should've ended there!

This TV show is something different from the usual! There is madness, sweetness, glamour and magic all mixed together Its a fun loving, family entertainer that keeps you interested throughout It makes you smile and enjoy their family dynamics, their usual banter but topped with love and how family is all we have at the end of the day. Celebrating the Latinos, their music, the accent, the food and atmosphere is what makes it entertaining.The weaving in between normal and celebrity life makes this an amusing watch! Definitely worth the time if you are into dramatic rom-com!
