If you need sex, drugs, and violence in your movie for you to think you have to make it "good" that way, then you have to re-think your movie
Back to the future had no sex, drugs, or extreme violence, with the exception of a punch to the face. In fact, every movie Spielberg made didn't have sex or drugs or violence, and he has created many a masterpiece. Midsommar was repulsive.
