Apollo. .rookie

This movie helped lump all gen z kids together under the stereo type of being phone obsessed teens with no inner thought and only a single goal of becoming famous. Not a good portrayal of actual teen life. The acting is lazy and cheesy especially by the main character. She is very one dimensional even though the character has almost the same life as the actor. I would have loved to see deeper emotion besides turning on the tears and an occasional meltdown. I don’t know why they casted a tiktok star to play the lead other then to get clout or to get people to watch it as a joke. The message behind the movie is good but doesn’t really effect the characters in the end. There are many more tiktok stars that would have been way better for the role. Just search #Acting in the app and you’ll find some amazing actors. Addison just steals other creators choreography and lazily dances to it and posts it. She doesn’t actually care about her fans she just wants more to get noticed, luckily for her it’s obviously working. She is obnoxious and will use anything for clout. She was not a good pick for this role. Over all the movie was mediocre and I wouldn’t recommend watching it if you don’t want to see heavy cringe worthy acting and storytelling. About everything you would expect from a Netflix original chick flick tho. p.s. Yes it’s worse then Tall Girl
