Very worth watching . One cannot help the tears feeling the eyes , one cannot help sympathize with the characters . This is not a much heard film , but the message it wants to give is immortal . It depicts the continuity of life . Truly , everyone is none but MUSAFIR in this world . The rented house is just a symbol here . But this symbolic set , symbolic story and symbolic characters is vry much successful to convey the message which is expected to be delivered. I can't resist myself from saying something about dilip kumar sahab's unparalleled portrayal of Raja . The philosophical dialogues are just baffling , moving . Each dialogue is equally worthwhile . Usha Kiron , Suchitra Sen , Kishore kumar , Nirupay Roy and all the actors are equally performing , but somehow dilip saab had stole the show , with his serious and thoughtful underplaying of Raja . I have to mention Daisy Irani specially for his awesome takkar with these highly talented artists . It may be the debut film of Hrishikesh Mukherjee , but he had shown his masterly perfection in the plot and especially in the symbol of the plant , which is the messenger of every phase of human life . I will request every thoughtful person to watch this movie , preferably in solitude . It is to feel , to feel with the characters , to understand the essence of the story . Thank you .

Social banditry was the most popular and effective ways which were used to protest the cruelties. . the landlord at the time of rangpur riot , Devi Singh , is just the real reflection of the landlord Paritam . The film also depicts the heartbreaking fight between kamon and insaafi . The swadhinota dialect is most appropriately used. . Above all , this is a film which establishes the supremacy of Dilip Kumar in the emotional art of acting , where he makes our eyes to be filled with tears in sympathy and makes us the shareek of Ganga 's mental agony .
