After hours is a journey of a man trying to be a better person and struggling to stay so. The different temptations are pulling him back to his old self; and it's easy to let yourself drown in the hedonistic nature of our lives - even though we may not want. The ending is up to interpretation of the listener. (Spoiler alert)For me - character(The Weeknd) fails to man he wants to be and possibly takes his life out of depression.
