Unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. Script was poor, storyline was okay but the direction was not exciting enough. At first the use of previous material was funny and somewhat nostalgic but it quickly appeared to become a crux for the entire movie. I would’ve enjoyed the movie more if it had lots more hardcore action scenes and less emotional, pensive scenes. Instead of recommending this movie, I would recommend watching The Matrix (which I don’t doubt may have been part of the intention of creating this 4th instalment anyway – that is, just so that they get more exposure for the original movie).
