Im a huge 3ds fan. It's my favorite console and I play it way more than any of my other systems. I have huge collection of physical games, not to just collect them but all are good games Ive played or are in the 3ds que backlog to be played soon. Same story with eShop digital games...it's bonkers crazy how many games I have and how much money was spent spread out among my 3 diff models of 3ds....anyways ... I had seen this game a gazillion times years and years ago and never checked it out for some reason. I finally did get demo on my NEW 2dsXL and not only did the game impressive me graphically but the C STICK nub is Perfect! Anyone who is an avid player of 3ds knows that tons of games that attemptwz to use the c stick nub failed miserably and it felt like you were gonna snap the system in two from trying to wrestle with it. Ironfall was awesome the moment I found that out. about the c stick nub worked so well. I feel so silly for missing this game for so long . It's a fairly standard third person shooter...which on switch or PS4 would only be another drop in the OCEAN...but on 3ds this is like a drop of water onto the ground that waters a seed that grows into a giant redwood lol. Third or first person person shooters are insanely rare. And I have to even Kinda bend genres a bit to even make them fit that critera. rE revelations, RE Mercs 3d, Dementium remastered, moon chronicles, silver falls :3 down stars , Metroid prime federation force, ice station Z and Automaton lung. You get the idea tho...if you know those games I listed...lol they aren't anything ilike Ironfalls flavor of third person shooter . This is a great game and a true GEM on 3ds. I advise getting this immediately while you still can.

Ashame that many mainstream reviews seem to invent nonexistent problems with quality titles. I have 3ds version and my only real complaints are trivial but numerous enough to slightly take away from otherwise clever and very fun experience. Don't listen to Nintendo life, it's equal or better than it's predacessor. My trivial complaints? On 3ds there's only 3 zoom settings and needs be one in-between Max and middle. Also there's a "freeroam" mode available right from the start which gives you all weapons right away. Imo it takes too much mystery away from what's to come in story mode. That's it...and those are non-complaints really. This is a true good quality game and any paid reviewer who claims otherwise has forgotten that many would consider that a dream job and maybe should try take a pause and think about what makes a good or bad game and always take that seriously without preconceptions.

8\10 . only reason I didn't rate higher is the fighting plane lacks 3d environment to allow sidesteps or circling around a dazed opponent in a natural looking way. This game is simply gorgeous visuals, incredible realism in terms of graphics and animation, in such a life like setting it feels very "off" to me that I cannot simply step aside to dodge an incoming projectile and instead must let it hit my arms or weapons by blocking or going so far as to need to leap into the air and jump over a projectile in an extreme manner when I should b able just step to right or left 2 feet lol
