"The Herbal Apothecary" by J J Pursell is the best book I have read on herbs. She has it very well organized and written so anyone can use the herbs with confidence. The pictures are excellent so you can recognize the herbs anywhere. I learned a lot from the book and was able to use the herbs with great success. My one son is epileptic and he fell on his right shoulder and dislocated it, after that first fall it would dislocate every time he had a seizure. We would have to go to the ER and get it put back in. After about 50 times of having it put back in it wouldn't stay in and the hospital said they were sorry and sent us home with it out. I had read about agrimony tea in J J Pursell's book and how it helps ligaments and tendons hold bones in and I had ordered some and had been having him drink it but to no avail. When we got home from the hospital with it still out, I painted the tea on his arm and told him to lay down so the weight of his arm wouldn't pull on his shoulder. It felt better in ten minutes and after 20 minutes it pulled it in all by it's self.
I read about Meadow Sweet, in her book, and ordered it and rubbed the tea on my neck and it dissolved the two bone spurs that were growing into my neck and going into my spinal cord and I was able to use my arm again in about a week and a half. Herbs are amazing if you know how to use them and what to use them for and this book tells me how. I am so grateful for her book and her shared knowledge.
