I can't wait to order this book!!! Last week I was in Ballston Spa visiting my daughter who lives there. In working on genealogy reports for a few years now, I recently learned that Capt. Elisha Benedict is a distant relative. My daughter and I spent some time at the Brookside Museum (Saratoga Co. Historical Society) with Anne, the VERY knowledgeable Dir. of Education. She is a walking Book of Knowledge. Anne told us about the video concerning the 1860 battle and actually showed us part of it and told me about the book, War on the Middleline, written by James Richmond. I will be sending her some paperwork I have collected about the Benedicts and I will be ordering the Middleline book right now!!! It was a very exciting time that we spent at Brookside. Ballston Spa is fortunate to have such a fine museum.
