The Magnum and Higgins romance on the reboot is a huge disappointment. Takes away from the banter and comedy the show used to have. The romance part could have been enhanced with them both having different partners. Part of original Magnum was the character's struggle to find love after losing his wife. Also his PTSD from the war. This doesn't bring back any of that. Huge disappointment with character development. Don't waste your hour watching this show. Won't have any storyline with Higgins and Magnum dating now it will pretty much be the main storyline with them solving your standard mystery murder cases. No originality.

The acting is really subpar. It feels very forced. I am a fan of Selena, but this series is really not that well done at all. It moves very slow. Save your time and stick with the movie!
