I really love this show and I hope it makes it. Last week I watched a scene where Bob was at a church pot lot dinner and speaking with the actor that plays a pharmacist at CVS. He said he got a great deal on his prescriptions as an employee, but that nobody got it cheaper than people on Medicare D. Not the actor's fault and I like everyone in the series. The writers on that show, though, are so wrong! Do your homework before you put false statements out there. I am 67 and on Medicare D and have to pay $1800.00 for two injectable pins of insulin a month. I can not take the generic and anyone on Medicare can't use discount drug manufacturer cards. I get $918.00 a month from Social Security to live on. So, I take about $20,000.00 out a year of my 401 to buy my prescriptions and stay alive. However, I have nearly used up my 401 money and so I guess, I just have to die when that runs out. Not looking to complain, I'm glad for every day, but please don't put out such a horrible statement. Younger people will actually believe that and I know, because as a younger person, now a retired RN, I thought once I turned 65 my country would take care of me. I didn't know that medical bills would deplete my savings and 401. I'm a type 1 so I have to use insulin. I often go without the rest of my meds, but not the insulin. Please take back what you said about Medicare D being the cheapest prescriptions.
