People are faulting screenplay a lot. The only issues I found in screenplay was the lengthened end and the lack of a fierce/scary villain and some discrepancies in logic and reality here and there. Pros: Comedy is pretty good, after every fight and tense section a bit of comedy lightens up the mood. Everyone in the theatre clearly enjoyed the comedy. Action is top notch. Only some places are unrealistic but the rest is just amazing and is definitely commendable. Dancing. Of course Vijay dancing was an amazing sight. Songs. Only two but the set and choreography was really good. Anirudh BGM was amazing, it set the tone and mood for every fight scene. CGI and visuals were stunning. There is one scene in the movie in a dark alley that I really enjoyed. Cons: The lack of a strong villain character, meaning the villain was not scary enough and at times was funny. In some parts a lack of logic, but compared to other recent films this wasn't a crazy amount of unlogic here. Story is very typical and predictable. Vijay's acting and the comedy scenes detailed throughout the movie definitely held it together. It is not a terrible movie and not a great movie but a movie that you can definitely watch and enjoy. Just a typical entertainer with Vijay's great acting, some pretty good comedy, great music and stunning visuals. Would recommend to watch in theatres because the sounds are obviously crazy and the feels are different.
