Decided to tune in because of the presence of Anthony Hopkins. Never did get to see him because of all the blood and gore. Left after the fake lion-thing was let out to seek some humans for supper. I thought the sets were magnificent, but what a waste of time and money on such a failed effort. What was the point of the whole thing, I'd like to know? What is the point of concocting a fake Roman plot when there is so much rich real history to tap without resorting to excess blood and gore. True Roman-based epics of the past put this cinematic mess to shame.

The leaps of logic in this show are incredible. We are expected to believe that a woman of Carter's size could remain virtually unscathed after multiple knock down and drag 'em fights with people twice her size and weight. The husband is far too understanding for his own good, the neighbour too nasty, the daughter, hard to endure or believe. Gave up half way through Season 1. Carter's training was even more unbelievable than her next life.

I loved this film, after figuring out how to add the English subtitles. Full of complexity and emotion. The shifting narrative, never knowing the innocence or guilt of the accused, added to the tension and kept me glued until the end. I thought the casting was spot on, with each actor performing at the highest level. This is French cinema at its best, harking back to an era when the French produced truly great and memorable films.

Loved it. Made me laugh, made me cry, made me want to join these wonderful women, even if just for a day. Perfect script and casting.

This is an absolutely disgusting show. By centering on other nonsense, it skirts around the main issue which should be promoting a healthy lifestyle leading to weight loss. As for the "polycystic ovarian syndrome" theory that caused the sudden weight gain, I don't believe it for one moment. It's just an excuse for doing nothing about the real problem.

I was really engaged for 3/4 of the way, never knowing which of the couple (husband and wife) was the villain or the most disturbed character. But I could have done without the astral dreaming. Too far-fetched for my liking. I would have rated this a 4 star series if it had stuck to being a psychological thriller. When stories veer off into the supernatural, they lose me. There are enough situations in reality to draw inspiration from.

I thought it was well done, but I could do without the preachy statistics at the end, but it seems that Hollywood can't help lecturing their audiences on social justice issues. If you have to hammer the point home, then you've missed the point. Just tell the story and let the audience draw their own conclusions.

The show is interesting and for the most part well written, but let's talk about the acting, particularly Renee Zellweger. It's hard to believe that this is the same woman who won an award for Bridget Jones. Nothing wrong with her new look, which works well, but she needs to lose her proverbial "scrunchy" expression that drives me insane. I hate to say it, but this has got to be some of the worst acting I've seen in a long time. It's so over the top, it's barely believable.

I'm enjoying the series, but Kerry Washington's character is perpetually prickly and Washington's mouth contortions are so annoying. With such a supposedly complex character, Washington's one-note acting leaves much to be desired.
