Colette O'Haire

A excellent film showing a hidden side of modern Turkey through the eyes of the main character who runs a recycling plant. He is going to die unless he gets a kidney transplant and at the top of his wish list is his life-long desire to find his mother. Given morphine for the pain he often enters into a semi delusional state; he finds an abandonded child ( he himself was abandonded) and "adopts" him, enjoying his happiest times. Superb acting, a flowing script and a window into another world which more than deserves to be nominated for best film somewhere.
