I love musical biographies and my favorites were Ray, Walk the Line and Bohemian Rhapsody. I was disappointed in Respect as the storyline moved too slow and missed hitting the mark on the emotional side of Aretha's life story. Jennifer Hudson did a great job portraying Aretha and she is the reason I rated the movie as high as I did.
