Incredibly well paced book. It takes its time to establish its characters and explores Greek mythos from a very unique lens. I have seen and read numerous interpretations of the Trojan war and Achilles but none so distinctive and emotionally charged as this book. The book transcends the genre of romance and crafts something much more profound with the way it intertwines an epic with themes of the human condition. The slow burn narrative really starts taking form by the second half of the book and just unravels into guttural chaos and drama by the last few pages, it was intensely cathartic. A story that is going to be etched in my memory for a long time.

This mini series is the bench mark for all emulations of relationships on screen. In the 5th episode, as Johan and Marianne are sitting in Johan's office and conversing extensively on their divorce Johan sways from wanting to get a divorce and breaks down talking about his miserable relationship with Paula. Johan breaks down in tears and covers his face, Marianne feels sympathy for him and reaches to comfort him but stops herself. This little scene is almost identical to the scene from Before Sunset where Celine stops herself from touching Jesse's head. That doesn't make the scene any less authentic in the movie but it goes to show how much Bergman has influenced the industry. The meticulous dissection of both the characters of Marianne and Johan has been so seamlessly done only through conversation primarily goes to show how brilliant Bergman is.

This show is by far one of the best shows i have ever seen. In terms of setting, acting, cinematography it serves a plethora of excellence in all aspects. And coming to the plot, the show has managed to stay unbiased and neutral while still allowing us to connect with the characters. Since the Nazis are not much to feel sorry for still the makers managed to humanize them to some extent. The flexibility in the storytelling of the show keeps it interesting as they put the spotlight on different characters, from a sergeant, lieutenant, private and major. From a technical aspect they explored different formats for shooting and I really appreciate the makers for making this show as engaging as possible. There's always some controversy regarding war shows and movies since some of them romanticize or glorify the prospect of war but Band of Brothers does the very opposite of that. HBO has not disappointed me so far. The quantity of shows maybe less than the current OTT platforms but their quality is of the highest standard and I hope they will continue to make such well made shows. Band Of Brothers is the best war documentary/show I have watched so far.

This was perhaps my most anticipated film of this year and it did not dissapoint. Denis Villeneuve like always has delievered strongly with this movie. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer because the whole lore surrounding the Dune universe is a lot to absorb and it seemed a bit jumpy in the early segments of the movie but maybe that's because I watch too many shows and expect everything to be as in depth as an 8 hour long show. The soundtrack for the movie was amazing it's Hans Zimmer so what more can we expect from the maestro. The scene with the sand worm towering over Paul in the last segment of the movie had powerful music and made the scene even greater. I was completely blank about what the story is about I did a bit of research but after watching the movie I feel like reading the books too the whole lore is so intriguing, it has so many layers to it. Timothee Chalomet is one of the most talented young actors out there right now and imo the best at the moment he compeletely embodies all the characters he plays as and I loved him in this movie although we got to see only a few intense scenes which seperates the great from the good and he did not let us down. Overall Villeneuve has built a strong base for a trilogy.

Do not treat this as a biography because it is based loosely on true events but it isn't anywhere near what actually happened. It can be considered as a Shakespearean drama and a decent one at that. The screenplay was compelling, monologues were a bit poor here and there but there were some great ones too. Timothee Chalomet may not have embodied what King Henry V was truly like but he played the role of a young ambitious king with great talent. The soundtrack added to the narrative and enforced the build up of intense scenes. Robert Pattinson did a great job with his character and his accent sounded almost convincing if not acccurate. The ending resembled a true Shakespearean drama. Overall a good movie but do not scrutinize it for lacking historical acccuracy because you will find it very hard to enjoy the actual movie then.
