This material was similar to her first two specials but not nearly as funny.

I really wanted to like this but it just fell flat. The story was mediocre with a few decent elements but the landing was cheesy in a horrible kind of way. I get that Alaqua Cox is fairly new to acting, but it shows in most scenes she doesn't just stare angrily. Even D'Onofrio is subpar in most it. I truly dislike being this critical of a show that celebrates diversity the way it does, but that is about all it does tbh. It is quite simply not very good. I am not talking about disliking the subject matter either. I am truly referring to the quality of the production, the poor story, and the mediocre acting. Most everything about this show is mediocre at best and the reports of it's production difficulties are now confirmed accurate.

Wow. I can't believe I didn't watch this sooner. Absolutely great. Interesting and heartbreaking.

The acting was great, the story made sense to the characters, and it was overall amazing.

Could have trimmed a bit of fat, but overall it was great. Hopefully we get to see the story continue.

Extremely under rated movie. Not perfect, but would definitely recommend. I never understood why this didn't do better. The visuals were amazing, the story interesting, and overall it was unique.
