Five stars for the actress who walked and spoke just like Amy who’s mannerisms were just like hers, too and I must say about the casting of Jack O’ Connell as Blake….just lol But my gripe with making a film about Amy’s life is why have all the whole focus on relative small part of her life which was Blake? They wasn’t star crossed lovers or Romeo & Juliet, they had a chaotic, co-dependent drug relationship and that was the main thing about the film, her talent seemed second place and what about her next relationship? Her engagement with Reg? And what about her times in Jamaica, her clean time there just weeks before she died, where she was doing better and was healthier than she had been in ages, where her father, with a negligent blasé of her needs, turned up in Jamaica with a camera crew, to shockingly risk his daughters clean time, respect and wishes to further his own career ? (SHE TOLD HIM “DO NOT COME TO JAMAICA, LEAVE ME ALONE TO GET WELL, DAD!”) It’s actually a shame as it could have been a great film, but at best it was forgettable.

Shocked how bad Nicole kidman is in this, but then again I think most things she has done in the last 2 decades have been pretty bad. Thinking about it most things she has done since splitting up with Tom Cruise has been pretty bad/mediocre. (I can think of one good movie she did in recent years and that was the morning show) This couldve been a good film with a better cast and a little re write on the script. Unfortunately what I watched tonight was pants! Ps her hair, make up and wardrobe was as atrocious at her acting. Lol I edited this once I posted coz I read other reviews and some people have actually really slated people that don't like this film. Just remember us humans all have different tastes, likes, dislikes. That makes us human and I'm afraid if some of us don't like it and some do, that's how life goes. I think people that didn't like it obviously have a bit more taste and I would like to add to the person who said people that don't like this only like blockbusters, well I can tell you that you are so wrong there my friend, I can't stand blockbusters.

I'm 22 mins into the film and I'm rolling up laughing Momoas daughter look about 9 and she is so short ( can't take it seriously)she is in the gym scene whacking a boxing bag throwing punches with all her might and trying to look angry but it looks ridiculous. I know the acting is gonna be terrible, momoa stands there looking like a big oaf , a giant apath lol I don't think I will remember this movie beyond tomorrow.

My No.1 movie of all time! The acting is quite unique and bill Holden and Gloria Swanson are both perfect, but Swanson, just wowwwwwwwwww I applaud in the same part every time I see it, wait til you see the end scene, Swanson is magnicent You need to be prepared coz this movie will change your life The story and plot is devine Cecil b.De Mille one of the best directors in history Not even joking, you have to see this. You will never in a million years be disappointed....Promise!
