I was nearly put off from the opening sequences which appeared badly shot on a budget. However the filmic quality was all part of the setting and created a sense of time. The basic narrative is simple-divorced father takes young daughter on a holiday to Turkey. However we are generally conditioned to expect some obvious events and underlying sinister undercurrents. Yet it is much more sophisticated than that, exploring their relationship as well as their invidual lives at that time. Having nearly dispensed with it I became drawn in and 'hooked'. Very much in the French tradition of film. Excellent.

Asa visual feast for lovers of Bath it's good but despite that and its high levels of production the dialogue, storyline is awful and it seems such a waste of money and talent making something such as this. However it fills the coffers of the production company and Netflix and appeals to many others....not us though.
