It was all over the board, too many characters, too overacted, and incredibly schizophrenic. It’s like Hollywood tried too hard and it shows. Don’t waste your time or money. 1/2 stars.

Why was this movie called “1917?” There were no Americans in this film, considering that the US entered WWI in 1917. There is no back story to start the viewer off with and the main story line is pretty weak. There are hardly any Germans in the film and there were no machine guns, basically no tanks, and the plot was so full of holes that it made no sense as to what was going on and what was next. This has to be the absolute WORST war movie I’ve ever seen. There was no end that explained what happened and the viewer is left feeling like the movie should have kept going but then ended suddenly, with no explanation to what happened next. I personally give this -5 stars if I could. Two thumbs down, the milk has gone bad!

Excellent series! Very well done all around. Great writing, excellent acting, and the story lines are very well done and believable. Kudos from the USA.
