Hotel California on acid. A satirical gem that will have you laughing out loud one minute and on pins and needles another minute. Phoenix and Brolin's characters play off each other so well, like a finely tuned piano. Also, great brief appearances by Martin Short, Eric Roberts, and Martin Donovan. A must watch for Paul Thomas Anderson fans.
