Worth watching for the animation and set design, but the stories are lacking. The first part is a good spooky story, but the other two parts just fall off the rails. I guess it's supposed to be one of those "ask interesting questions and let the viewer make their own interpretation" but the questions the story tellers asked were not interesting.

Wow, squid game is just the latest in a growing lineup that reaffirms south Korean cinema can deliver visceral and gripping thrills while also taking a deep dive into humanity at it's best and worst. Everything in this show shines with a high level of polish. From the sets, to the acting, to the story, everything comes together so well. It's a gruesome show, definitely not for the queasy. But this is amazing story you shouldn't pass up!

I wish I could be like every one else who koved this show but there was so much not working well in it. Flanagan seems to have lost the thread on this one.

The visuals were well done, that's about the only thing that was solid throughout the entire film. I was hooked in the beginning, it really seemed like the story was going to go to some interesting places. But no, you understand exactly what is happening after the first 10 minutes, and the story doesn't go anywhere after that. What really drove me insane is how in the world does a bleeding edge genetic bioengineering facility get staffed with the most idiotic people. I mean even before they all got infected they just were the most dense, inane scientists. How can you set a film around a group of geniuses and have them all act like idiots for the entire film. Couldn't there have been just one smart person employed there?
