My wife and are the administrators of a men & women’s drug and alcohol center in Detroit. This movie did a good job of trying to show the turmoil and sense of hopelessness that destroys someone who is addicted to drugs or alcohol. The emotional, physical and spiritual blackness of addiction is of course much more devastating an any movie can illustrate. Movies can only try to give us a glimpse into the pain felt both to the addict and their families. This said generally overall a good film. My only disappointment was the movies failure to recognize the addicts need for not only physical healing but spiritual restoration as well.
