BORING and CHILDISH. only for children (<12) all the way. 1st half got some not bad gags but 2nd half is terrible with a terribly cliched villain. 2/5 watchable for KIDS

i appreciate ram's intentions and the hard themes the movie is trying to say abt. it is a very meditative drama which requires A LOT OF patience to sit through. cinematography is breathtaking. music is subtle. staging very suggestive. but the script is HELL slow-paced, which is not wrong, but it just didnt work for me. acting is gd. overall this movie is rly gd, despite several useless scenes in 2nd half, but it didnt work for me due to the snail pace. 3/5 watch it if ur patient and prefer silent, slow yet absorbing dramas

not bad movie from rajiv. underdog musical which targets casteism in carnatic field. somewhat fresh backdrop, gd acting by all. mostly predictable but still heartwarming due to direction. cinematography is subtle. tv show climax very cliched. 2nd half cld hv been btr 3/5 watchable for all

overall sensibly done satire with no stupid love scenes, foreign songs or comedy tracks. ending forced social msg is a minus tho. can be watched for some fun if you follow TN politics. 3.5 / 5

Its a not bad movie which engages you most of its run time. If you're open-minded to take in the fantasy idea, you shld be satisfied. The two sitcom stretches are repetitive in the 171 min version, but the 158 min version is rly worth it. Pls do watch it, embrace a new fantasy-meta movie which is rare in Tamil cinema. P.S. don't watch it just for VJS only.
