The first half felt disturbingly like an art-house version of Lords of Dogtown. The story slowly unfolds then takes flight as the emotional depth of story combined with complex character relationships show amazing talent. An unflinching and honest portrayal of teenage angst. Big ups to Jonah Hill! The soundtrack was legendary as expected. Awards all around!
