Great movie! It is not surprising to see such low rating becau this is not a conventional movie. Nuances are not spoon-fed. The Audiance is not narrated with details after every seen. This is a kind of movie which demands some efforts from the viewers to understand the depth of the characters. This movie won't make you think, won't make you feel strong emotions only if you watch the scenes and the characters and their personalities on a very surface/shallow level. You don't need to be a 'cinema expert' to have a deeper experience from the movie. Watch it with empathy, try to understand the psychology, the roots behind certain characters and try to put yourself in all the characters shoes and then you'll surely have a great experience watching this movie. One simple example can be how nawazuddins wife leaves him and the house but comes back to him the same day. Now this might seem like a useless addition to the story but this small scene shows how helpless women in India are and how men know that and take advantage of that.
