Unlike a rather unfair feeling shity remake this should have never existed in the first place directed by someone who didn't know what they were doing and only has a small cast of Good actors to work on the original Suspiria from 1977 not the shity remake of Suspiria from 2017 or 18 that Amazon put out is an absolute Masterpiece there's a reason why this is considered one of the greatest horror films to ever exist is absolutely unmatched in terms of its Visual and Atmospheric presentation causing a constant sense of dread everywhere you go there's a reason why Dario Argento is considered a master of Horror every single will scene if the film I'm feels you with this mood and Intrigue many would argue that there is not a lot of substance but I say that's not true you have to really be paying attention to notice it is there no substance in the remake most certainly the original is not the Remake because well the original isn't s*** seriously f*** the remake the casting is good and the best part of the film aside from its cinematography is it otherworldly soundtrack performed by Goblin a frequent collaborator with Dario Argento and other filmmakers of these giallo sub genres of horror which helps bring the slasher johnra if it wasn't for this film films such as John Carpenter's Halloween Friday the 13th Nightmare on Elm Street Phantasm Child's Play Hellraiser and many others would not exist quite a few over their existence to the giallo sub-genre of Horror especially films such as bones a 2001 horror film featuring Snoop Dogg which is also fairly underrated if you're ever in the mood for a good horror film any Halloween or anytime of the Year definitely go with the original Suspiria it shouldn't be too hard to track down a DVD Blu-ray or even a VHS of the film and if you're trying to find it on streaming it is free on Tubi TV you'll just have to power through the ads but that's all fine this is a 100 out of 10 masterpiece not many other things can really live up to that unless it's like Kingdom Hearts 2 or Final Fantasy 6 aliens a few anime and shows like the X-Files and Twin Peaks overall this is one of Dario argento's best it isn't his number one film I'd argue that's probably the sequel to Suspiria Inferno or maybe the bird with the crystal plumage hell I'd even argue Opera is the best horror films you've made and then there's also a phenomenon which featured Jennifer Connelly Dario Argento has a thing for women named Jennifer being featured in horror films made and I don't count Dawn of the Dead the greatest zombie film to ever exist simply due to the fact that well he only helped produce it it's partially his phone but it said it looked or Jay Romero film the original Suspiria earns its place as Peak fiction and has earned its spot in the greatest films in the horror genre in general seriously the Remake only had Tilda Swinton going for it and she was wasted on that movie
