Beautiful visuals, great acting, gripping action, but the soundtrack got a bit old, too much wailing. For the length of the movie, more should have been accomplished, it’ll be better in hindsight when the second one comes out I suppose, but it’ll likely be known as the boring one. Dune failed to accomplish what the first Hobbit, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies succeeded in doing, which was giving the audience a sense that something was accomplished before moving on to the second movie. 3.5/5
