I like how they allude to Dave Franco's " Now you see me " character who fakes his death..just to let you know what they're going for, except here Dave Franco's "6" isn't faking...then we get a " 24 : legacy " reference with Corey Hawkins..which I kinda loved actually, can't hate it....the Avengers references, perhaps Justice League ...Reynolds does the Tony Stark/ Bruce Wayne impression perfect, perfectly balanced. I was wary since it's Mikey Bay but I kinda liked it for what it is. A hybrid of ideas.

An awesome attempt to take advantage of the on-screen chemistry of Macki and Grillo. Only explored minutely in the Avengers franchise and delved into on AO3 ( those who know, know ), this was a great casting choice. The premise itself is overused but the beauty of it lies in the performance of the two main men. This interpretation of the 2010 French thriller is very American in it's approach which is what takes away from the original's noir appeal. I liked it. This was a solid action-thriller with comedy and two wonderful bromances thrown in.
