This game has massive potential, biggest flaw though, is that it's like they're trying to rival cyberpunk for glitchiest game ever. I'm currently unable to progress the story because it won't let me talk to Rowe to initiate the tower mission. Randomly falling through the map is another glitch, npcs not spawning, and if you care about the story in this STORY game, you'll have to be okay not hearing 75% of the cutscene dialogue since it glitches out 75% of the time, this is an issue on both ps4 and ps5. The sound in general often won't load. The player menu, like your inventory and map stuff will freeze for a couple seconds whenever you go to the "journal" or "map" tabs.
It feels like a new independent studio made this game, the mistakes that aren't glitches are very amateur-dev of them, such as abilities will be unusable, literally, because other abilities have the same button prompt, I have default button settings btw. The upgrading equipment system is a little tedious and lack luster, you'd think collecting the rarer items would be the hard part but you literally have to grind the common stuff like "uncommon trophies" 99% more of the time than the rare upgrade items. The combat is dull and a little clunky. Parkour is pretty fun but also a little clunky. You can also tell they don't really know how to design stealth friendly option missions or areas, like enemy patrol placements and how enemies respond to lures and distractions as well as cover placements and hiding spots.
As for the experience, the voice acting is pretty good, the story from what I get to actually hear is very interesting, the visuals are great, however it's the theme and sound that need massive work. It's like their composer quit 5 minutes into development, it's got a very repetitive soundtrack/score, and it doesn't make sense. It's a zombie game, and there will often be bone chilling screams of people in the distance, dying, but that's all accompanied by this tranquil woodlands background music, like I'm fishing on a lake at my cabin peacefully. It ruins the vibe, we need creepier music, more suspense, more intensity in the action scenes, there's no part of this that makes you jump, even if you're playing at 2am alone creeping around a dark building full of dormant zombies that could wake up and kill you, it's soundtrack ruins any sort of suspense or theme setting.
In summary, the glitches RUIN the game to the point of it nearly being unplayable, the soundtrack ruins any sort of attempt at establishing a theme, and the combat is clunky and dull. Parkour is fun, genuinely it is, it's story is great, tons of content. It seems most of their effort went into content diversity and quantity which I respect a lot. It feels like they tried their hardest not to copy fallout while copying fallout completely, but fallout was great so if it works, it works.
