The interview with Mr Colombarris was timely. One dimension that has not been explored in stories about suggested wage theft (and the colombarris saga is one sutch) is the taxation implications for the employer. In respect of the Colombarris businesses, surely there are questions to be put about the accounting management of the overall payroll and auditing of annual profit and loss. A mere $7.0 million plus of "profits" just happens to be washing around somewhere and all of a sudden it is found the be a business cost! I EXPECT THAT THE ATO IS NOW VERY INTERESTED.
