As a decades long viewer of your show, I was quite optimistic when I saw that one of this evenings segments was on transgender healthcare. How disappointing that the majority of time spent was on the very small minority of transgender who determine that they made a mistake and we were too easily aided in their transition. As the mother of a transgender child , I can tell you - no I can emphatically stress to you that transgender youth do not casually “decide” to be transgender. It is their Identity from a very young age . Shame on you for not having the same number of transgender who are living their lives to balance the stories you had of those who were unhappy. What you did that just brought me to tears was to perpetuate the very flawed theory that transgender health care should perhaps be denied because maybe someone is making a mistake.
