I liked most of the film... But the starting premise is something I could not get over, and left me feeling annoyed for the rest of the film.
Spoilers for the first 12 min.
Ethan Hunt gets given a mission to retrieve the last components needed by the remnents of the last films spy group, to complete a set of nucleaur bombs.
Ethan having fought tooth and nail against them in the last film after watching a fellow agent die to them, for some reason thinks a 3 man team of him and two non-combat trained or orientated agents is all he should take.
So in this situation Ethan being the only combat trained person there needs to keep an eye on his friends, the money, the component, the bad guys and the suroundings. Whitch he fails 4 of them, his friend gets captured, the money and component taken and is ambushed from behind.
This mistake costs the safety of millions of lives as three nucleur attacks could happen after this.
Now you should able to see my problem as Ethan has shown to work with and command bigger teams and is smart enough to now that 2 non-combat agents should not be on sight when he is against a army of spies and assassins that in the previous movie showed many members to be able to rival him in combat.
This is a forced writting and bugs me.
