you know, it's funny....for some reason that i really can't understand, this movie wasn't a giant hit?? if a movie brings out feelings; if its suppose brings up emotions from within yourself, than, this one makes me feel all those things that i enjoy feeling...from the casting, to the writing, to the strange nuances of self reflection...it has it all...nostalgia....hope ... awkward pauses...a story about nothing but at the same time, it's life in it's truest form....It's a movie that evidently isn't for everyone..but it should be...it's about a book about a life and a movie about the book...with an actor playing the author who's also the director who himself is played by another actor...it blurs the line of fiction and of reality as a tale of love and loss....if you can manage to ride the fine line of fate that the story travels....it's a really fun ride throughout. Even now, years later, I still love this film and i'm even wearing the T-shirt, lol
