This film is a deeply moving allegory, layered in symbolism and masterfully executed. Everything about the film is deliberate from the characters, actors and story line to the score, imagery, and artistic license. The suspenseful or disturbing moments were precisely and intentionally placed, and no shortcuts taken. Like a beautiful oil painting, the depth and texture are abundant if you look for them. This is not an action, suspense or even sci-fi film. The science is irrelevant. This is not a movie about space exploration, it's a journey of introspection, acceptance, forgiveness, healing and growth. I sincerely hope many others will be moved as I was.
