Don’t watch it. Terrible ending. Encourages murder and not in a cartoon John Wick way (the first one anyway).

Just because the show is “self aware” about the fact that its main character is an entitled white middle aged man with a very poor attitude doesn’t dissipate the sneaky feeling that the writer is actually enjoying writing abusive entitled behaviour. I mean, haven’t we had enough of these type of characters on telly?

Possibly the least attractive male lead in a tv show ever.

Initially promising beginning let down by terrible unsatisfying ending. Is it too much for modern “prestige” tv to have a happy ending? There were enough anachronisms that a good dose of penicillin would have fit right in. Avoid like the plague.

They somehow even got the speech bubble right! I bought each of the Sandman comics when they first came out years and years ago. I remember hanging out for the next book and rereading each one while waiting for the next one. So yeah, I'm a bit of a fan. When I heard Neil Gaiman was exec producer, this tv series became the one I was waiting for. And it has exceeded my expectations. Just a minor detail: Dream's speech bubble in the comic books always had a black background with white text and a wavery bubble shape (in contrast to the normal white bubble with black text and oval bubble shape). Somehow, Dream's voice in the tv show is exactly what that speech bubble would sound like - at least to me. Hopefully everyone else is enjoying the show half as much as I am!

I loved the first episode. It was great how colorful and energetic the visual style is. Also, the actors were great. I though they did a great job casting Ms Marvel and her family. As for the story, i reckon many teenagers with a migrant background would relate as would their parents. I think the story was fair to both parties. Anyway, I am hanging out for the rest of the season.

This was the series that got me to really appreciate the scene skip function in Netflix. Unfortunately every action sequence with Finn Jones in it was terrible. The only redeemable part of this bin fire is Colleen Wing.

Really enjoyed the movie possibly because my expectations were quite low. I loved the family dynamics and the characters. I really liked how diverse the cast was and loved Kingo, Phastos and Gilgamesh - I wish Gilgamesh had more screen time. I thought the locations were stunning. The action scenes were ok - about average for Marvel. The only let down were the costumes - I thought they could have been much better. Anyway, on the whole I give the movie five stars.

The trailer gave the impression that this movie was "Die Hard" but set in a plane with John McClane as a female vampire. What I got was the opposite of that - interminable, boring, lacking in thrills, indulging in guilt for being a badass (Imagine an emo version of John McClane spending hours feeling bad about his capacity for violence!). The film literally sucked the potential out of the premise.

The outfits, hair and dance numbers alone make this movie worth watching. Also could have done with more Wesley Snipes. All in all a huge amount of fun.
